Cardiff 300... what rod?

Just picked up a Cardiff 300 and threw 250 yards of 30lb braid on it with a 20lb top shot. Was wondering what kind of rod you guys would go with? I'd like to be able to use this set up for halibut and possibly throwing some lures but is 30lb too light to even throw small irons? I'm looking in the $100 or less range for a rod, hopefully I can snag one used. Any input would be greatly appreciated because I'm new to the site. Thanks.

I looked around for a bit to see what other people were using with this reel but I figured best to just ask. Thanks.

A medium heavy Abu Garcia vendetta would work.

A used teramar would fit your budget, they sling irons pretty good.

Not sure what area you are at, but the Daiwa Costsl rods are nice and you get the most bang for your buck. Perfect for fishing in the bays. They run $80-90 new
