You might want to check out Bermuda St. also.
I live over on Santa Cruz Ave and have launched their quite a few times. Just be careful of the rocks on the right side of the beach. If it is really calm I prefer to got on the left side. I meant to say I launched at Bermuda St, not Santa Cruz Ave. They do have some steep stairs there, but I have carried a Malibu 2xl up them so its not that bad. |

Cool report.
Orchard is tough with a swell for sure. Mess up and you get dumped on the cobbles. Mess up bad and end up on the boulders . Really steep beach at Orchard too. You can't jump out too soon.
