What are your "Must Have" items when going out kayak fishing

Obviously the fishing gear I will need or use
waterproof cell phone case
pump in the event I'm taking on water

If I think of more I will list them. Looking forward to seeing what you all post up.

I also have a refillable air horn that I picked up from Cabela's a couple years ago! Refillable with a bicycle pump you can get a few blasts to create a couple S.O.S.'s
Just hope I never have to use it!

DO NOT bring Myoplex as a snack. I did that once and will never forget how it shortened my time on the water. Wife was being nice enough to pack a snack for me.

Great lists but I have 2 more important things on my list that I haven't noticed above: 1) cheap hand held compass (when the fog rolls in and no gps) and 2) be sure to kiss the wife before you leave (good for a few extra hours or an extra day otw)!

Unfortunately I don't use it on every trip, but often I find a game clip is pretty helpful.

Thats a good list. I cameupwith a few more that I try to have handy.

Plenty o water and a few granola bars.

1 or 2 fish securing clips or stringers.

Gunny sack or towel to wet and keep your fish cool.

Big bin, ice chest, or huge trash bag to hold your catch for the drive home. I have a small wagon so this is important.

Some folks like to bring a garden sprayer to give gear a fresh water or salt cutting rinse. I bring a household sized spray bottle on trips to mexico when I'm days and miles away from a hose. I can't afford to buy my gear twice.

It depends on the season but a paddleing jacket, light polar fleese, and beenie can really save a trip.

I always have a large ice chest in the truck for the catch that I may bring home. I need to get an actual game clip, the one I made works, but I'm not sure if it will hold up if I get anything of real size.
