Noobie
Hey there. I am pretty much in the same boat as you. I am looking at late next week sometime. I would like to attempt a surf launch in LJ, conditions permitting. How about next Thurs the 7th? Maybe we can even get an experienced yaker to join us...

Welcome! I, too, am a kayak fishing fanatic, but still a newbie. Always better to fish with another angler especially for safety reasons. Just hit me up or BWE the next time you are out.

LJ is like the holey grail or promissed land for so cal kayak anglers. It can be tough, but its ususally not so don't get phyced out. If you've been kayking for a year and a half you should be ready for a LJ. I'm in Chula vista too. Let me know. Mike

Same situation as original post.
Have owned my kayak for over two years, but have focused on Mission Bay and only a hand full of trips to LJ. Was focused on knocking out my degree, but thats all wrapped up now. Anyone headed out tommorrow morning? Please respond or PM |
