LJ Shores WSB 6.2.07am

Made bait at pier, plenty of nice size macs. Lots of kayaks on the water this morning. Headed over to the zone and found the bait busting the surface. Dropped down the mac near the bait and within 15 sec. hooked up. Unlike yesterday there were no dogs around so I did'nt have to worry about them, I had a decent fish on and it then proceeds to go the bottom into the kelp but just took it easy and brought the fish out of it, up to gaff it comes. There were quite a few sea bass on shore, one really big one. I tried to find yellows but no luck. Done fishing by 7:30. 30.3#

I brake for dolphins while crossing the reserve

Nice fish there D50. Are you in the wsb derby? Just trying to get a read on what the weight to aim for is.

And if you lost your hook to a fish recently, I have your hook, the fish is mine now lol. Pulled in a lil one with someones shiny 3/0 hook still in it.

It probably wouldn't be shiny after two days. Someone must have hooked and lost that fish the same morning. All I caught was a ling that had me fooled for a few seconds until it lost it's grip on the bottom.
