LJ AM 6.1.07 DAMM DOGS

Awesome conditions this morning, plenty of bait, tidal movement, it was all there. First bait in the water and instant hook-up. Big fish, since it took out most of my 30# test on the trinidad 30. Within five mins. I look up an here come the dogs, not one but two! And there goes my fish. That really sucks.Could see the size and silvery length as the dogs surfaced. I'm sure it was well over 30# felt more like 45#. Saw some nice yellows on the beach.

I had to run interference for one guy as he was fighting his 2nd YT. Knothead was after my bait so I left it out for him to chew on while the gentleman landed his fish.

I guess that was your fish I saw them tearing up. Bummer.

Last night it wasn't the dogs that were the problem but the humbolt squid. Big ones, way on the inside in 75ft of water. Kept stealing my weighted baits. I suspect the heavy infestation of the jumbo squirts is why our YT fishing has been lackluster so far. Goodness knows there is plenty of bait out there right now.

That sucks Dave! Sorry tou lost it. The dogs were definitely out in force this morning. Ol Silverback was quite a topic of conversation this morning. He was pissing everyone off.

I managed a 15# yellow on a spanish and pulled a pornstar greenie out of another's mouth later in the morning. I needed that fish yesterday!

Its days like these that you need a lot of luck landing a fish without the dog !
