Harbor freight work stand... Cost 20 bucks and is adjustable and pretty stable. Anybody else have pics of how they store their PA?

How much weight will that hold? I just bought PVC to make the classic folding stand. I may cheat and get the HF version. It will save me about $15 bucks.

Time to return the 30 feet of PVC with connectors and make a HF run. I have the 20% off coupon, so I am good to go.

Looks like they make a 500 pound version for $24.95
With coupon I can get it for 20. It uses 1 and 1/8 inch tubing instead of 3/4 inch.

I bought it in the store. I didn't know they had a bigger one, but this one seems to do the trick. Can't beat the price. It's also adjustable so you can form the width to your kayak.

I called all of the San Diego locations and they did not have the 500 lb version in stock. You will need to order on line. Still not a bad price at $24.95 for the bigger capacity. I bought the 200 lb version pictured above. It will work fine for my x factor. I didn't want to wait since my yak will be ready in a couple of days.
There is another version I found on Amazon. It has a sling and is rated to 500 lbs. Cost was around $43 plus tax. Free 2 day shipping if you are a prime member. I may upgrade if I don't like the feel of this stand when it is loaded. Plus it has a sling. I can't see where you would go wrong. With coupon the finally price was $17 and some change. http://www.amazon.com/Astro-Pneumati...ble+work+stand Last edited by dbarnett66; 12-16-2012 at 08:14 PM. |

I plan on making a sling and extending side rails all the way out so it will rest mostly on the sling
