Has anyone beach launched from Manhattan or Hermosa? - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

From the Harbor mouth at Redondo/King Harbor it is only a bit over 3 miles to Manhattan Beach pier. Without a strong current or headwind, it should not take you more than an hour and a half or so. Picking a day with the right wind conditions can be priceless (if the fish are biting that day).
