I have the Magic SeaWeed app on my android phone, tells you wind speed, tide/swell conditions, when high/low tide is, etc. This has helped me a lot, hope itll help you out as well.

Our trip was all canceled due to extreme rough surf and strong winds at the West jetty area earlier this morning at 5:30.
 We'll go to Newport Canyon only when the marine weather permits... Thank you, KingArvil and HatterasCast!!
