2 gallons is kind small for our area. Most of our local baits can't swim circles in a tank that size. It might be an option for fishing with smelt in the bays. Like others said, stick to 5 gallon. Even the old 5 gal bucket works fine but the dog food container looks cool. Every thing in a kayak is a compromise. Mike
