First post and i'm so stoked!

I joined the forum here a couple weeks ago and have been hanging on every post like I don't have a job. Oh wait, I don't. I just started fishing again after a long hiatus and have the bug bad. I've been surf fishing a lot and have been staring at the guys fishing on their yak's offshore. I couldn't take it anymore and sold the yak that has been sitting around for a while and put a deposit down on a HOBIE PA today. Not the new one but I think I like the old one better with the exception of the transducer mount on the new one. I can't wait to get it and get on the water. I hope to meet up with you guys on the water and maybe learn something. I dig this forum over the bike forum I have been posting on for years because you guys are more mellow and friendly. I will post up more as thing develop on the new yak.

Thanks,
Robert

Welcome! If you think you're stoked now, wait till you get out there!
Is the ESCO in your location for ESCO beach, Malibu area or SD area, as in Escondido?
Either way you've got good fishing nearby!
Grats on the PA

Did you do some kind of layaway plan on your PA or was it just a deposite? I would love to have PA but cant afford it all at once.

Welcome to BWE! Great group of people here!

Congrats on the great boat...

I did the layaway program (well not truly a program)
1) put a big deposit down,
2)a week later went to Fred Hall and put more down
3) I couldnt stand it and paid it off the following week, Dreaming of fishing on the PA. Some way, some how i found a way to get her paid off fast!

No regrets at all, except for the yak wheels, one of the rims cracked broke and left me stranded in the parking lot, lucky one of the BWE members helpe me move her back to my truck...Lesson learned, get big beefy wheels!!!

See you on the water!

Congrats on the PA. To be honest a Transducer mount is overrated in my opinion. Marine goop to the hull inside works 100% for me. I'm not worries if my water temps are off by a few degrees, but I can still see every leaf on every piece of kelp I peddle over.
