We tried to make it to where you actuate both peddles to lift but couldn't get enough torque to do it. I normally fish with a buddy and its very easy to remove if my friend paddle up along side me. It can be off and stowed in literally 1 minute.

Devildawg...does yours need any counter-weight for the motor on the other side so it doesn't lean or veer off?

Hey there Gary, thanks! The battery is going in the front hatch to offset the wieght of the motor and bait tank. When we gonna get out and fish together one of these weekends?

Nope, just my fat-ass sitting slightly left in the seat . The Riptide only weights about 20 pounds...


I'm certainly game for the first inaugural motorized kayak drag-race/fishing tournament.

I wonder....if you enter a kayak tournament, and use you motor, would you fall under the auspice of a kayak or boat?
