Need your help for a buddy of mine
In the meantime, I figured I'd gauge interest in this for him from all you hardcore guys over here at BWE. What do you think of the idea of a vacation / kayak fishing package which puts you on the water in Costa Rica fishing for Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Dorado, Sailfish, etc... Thanks guys!

Go the most experienced on kayak fishing Costa Rica....Jim Sammons. Also his fishing ventures on the East Cape are proven and a wee bit cheaper!

Waiting to hear back from him on pricing. It's not "mothership" style. He's been a Captain down there since '92. He's going to do the legwork on getting hooked in with various hotels to accomodate a wider variety of budgets / vacation tastes. I'll get you guys pricing as soon as it's available to me. He mentioned it to me awhile back, and I told him that it's definitely worth exploring, but most guys who do that kinda fishing also have families that would rather go ziplining for the day, or go on a nature hike, or shopping, etc... So it would benefit him to have a variety of options. Anyway, I figured that the guys here on BWE would possibly be interested if he can make it fit dollar-wise.

Don't have any pics yet, as he just recently asked about this type of program, but I'll get you all the info I can.

Forgot to mention, he bought a bunch of Hobie Outbacks for this whole operation, and he is working on different packages, for instance:
7 nights / 4 days kayak 7 nights / 2 days offshore kayak - 2 days inshore kayak etc... It should be fairly customizable. I also told him to give me pricing based on 2 people, 4 people, 6 people, etc. It may take a while to get all this info back to you guys. He's always on the water, internet sucks in the rainforest, etc...

The airfare alone to Costa Rica now is about $1000.00. I have been there 2 times on surfing trips. It is a great place to visit but it is not cheap.
