Ya. I'm going to only strip off about half of the line . Ok so I'll soak it and then spool it. Why not use the guides ?

Soak the spectra? Why would you do that? Put it on dry and tight. Wear gloves or run it through a phone book with lots of weight on it. I've spooled it off a 6/0 with the drags set tight. Go back and forth every so often so it can't dig in.

alright, all spooled. 300yrds of 65lb PP with about 80yrds of 40lb mono backing. came out just right.
all set for those
