Are you referring to the scupper holes? The scuppers allow water that naturally splashes into the seating and tankwell area to drain. I only plug the two in the seat and the two by my knees so my ass doesn't get wet. I leave the drains at my get open and the tank well open so it drains. If you have the 45° angled hatch in the back, leaving those back scupppers could cause the hatch to get swamped with water if your tsnkwell doesnt drain.

All great information! Thank you all!

I will for sure be stopping by to pick up those plugs and check out the store.
I will probably use a cork to seal the rear drain for Saturday morning and stop by OEX in the afternoon.

Thought I'd update my thread on my yak! Was out there on the water in Newport Harbor and was tied up chillin', actually resting from paddling against the current.

with the wind and current some beautiful fishing there though...
