Spolied first time at La Jolla
Here are a couple of pics of my first trip to La Jolla with the help of the expert guide service of the Sea Samurai (Kevin Nakada) a few days before X-mas. I had now idea how hard the YT would hit. What a rush...sitting there holding the rod while Kevin says get ready the all of a sudden....BAM!!! Rod tip slams down and I'm kinda freaking out fighting the fish for maybe 5 minutes then all of a sudden hook comes out. Then within a minute I'm hooked up again!!! This time it's pulling even harder. Fighting the fish for a little longer time then the first finally I see that beautiful color of my very first YT!!!! I managed to get hooked up a third time but again hook comes out. After a while Kevin says lets target some bottom fish. So we head out farther and I managed to hook a nice Lingcod and a bunch of pesky sand dabs. Not bad for a 1/2 day trip. Thank you Sea Samurai (Kevin Nakada) The "Kid" for your excellent guide service. Now I am spoiled after my first time out of La Jolla. Last edited by dwntwnall4u; 01-22-2012 at 01:00 AM.
