I just got mine, had it out and played a little last week, set it up and check aim at home, you can get the 32mb card off Amazon for like 18.00
that's what I did, put the floating back door on, not much sound with it though, I have tryed r2 to r5 recording, didn't see a whole lot of difference, once you get used to the menu screen access and use, it all falls into place, very cool...have fun

nice! Need to get one since I'm on my 3rd GoPro ![]() First one lost late in a day and I got some sweat in my eyes. The Go Pro was on a head strap (I forgot about it) and I flung my hat off to wipe my forehead and the GoPro launched into the water. I nearly got it back with the paddle but watched it slip off the paddle and slowly sink into the deep blue 2nd one sank with a kayak.....maybe the float device would have saved the kayak

a couple of suggestions
1.gopro makes an adheasive foam that sticks to the back of the waterproof case that DOES make it float. GET IT.
2. I had about an hour long fight with a thresher that I assumed was on film but wasn't due to a common mistake. when you hit the power button to turn on your gopro it does not automatically turn on in "video mode". you must hit the button again until it switches from single shot to video. I spent the whole hour doing commentary and catching underwater shots. when I checked my footage all I had was one cool picture of one very bendo rod. I knew this and even practiced turning my gopro on and checking settings the night before so I wouldnt make this mistake, but in the heat of the moment all that was forgotten. 3. I was already said before, Angle your gopro slightly down or you will catch alot of cloud footage. play with your new camera before you take it out and get familiar with it so your not learning to make adjustments when you really need it to preform hope this helps

At the lower resolutions you will not be able to view it as clearly on larger screens.
Don't buy the cheapest memory out there, you will end up regretting it. Go with a Name Brand like Kingston. Lost a lot of good footage on a cheap card that would not record properly on sunny days. Although they are cheap to replace, the lenses scratch fairly easily so I keep my camera in a soft bag. The GoPro and GoPro 2 can be set up for "One Button On" which can help out a lot if you do not intend to change to the different modes. Be prepared to spend a lot of time producing your final products, especially with longer videos. |

Nice, Art Laboe and a GoPro demo. Post a pic of your camera mount.

I just got the Hero2 and bought the LCD BacPac accessory, and had wondered about the the "floaty" but don't think the two are compatible, are they? Thanks for the input... - Ken |

Your assumptions are correct.
