Problem with Charkbait brand Sabiki rod?

Has anyone run into problems with the Charkbait rod? Whenever I let my sabiki out, every single hook gets caught on the way out, right at the end. I don't know if I have a defective model or just poor design, but it makes things pretty annoying, also, the whole sabiki rig doesn't even fit in the 7ft rod! 1 hook and my weight always hang out. The swivel can't seems to make its way through. This is all on a size 12 hooked rig.
