After Txgvng Halibut Tourney boat report
Brad and I were looking for a flat lamb on ATHT.
We were mostly drifting, as the engine didn’t quite support bouncing (making roaring noise when starting, frequently turning off... :shake: ). We had plan A, B, C, D and E, but we never moved past B. We seemed to have found them, and kept hoping for a bigger ticket. We caught 5 halibut - one barely over 22”, one 30ish” (10.something) and 3 shorts… We had a nice 27” ling, one big fat sandy and a couple of other aux catches. MadBrad and I hit it as hard as we could, nothing to whine about. No perfect storm conditions this year for ATGH, nice change right there… Thanks Mike again for putting together another awesome tournament. Lots of known faces and skiffs, great to meet people in person…Good seeing everyone Here’s some visual: Armada: Our 1st biggn... Unavoidable Le Tigre... :shake: Must have smelled friken' plastic on our asses... Our contender fish (...we hoped ) We run into Team Boom Zing to hear them complaining about the skunk… We tell them they’re just strategically waiting… Before you know it, they show us how it’s done – 2 on board… Busy Mr. Petersen at the dock… Thanks again!!!
