You definitely cant go wrong with the shimano name...great customer service and great product. Had 2 corsairs, 2 corvalus, a TLD star 20/40, and a Torium 16 since i started buying my own stuff 10 years ago. Still have the 2 corvalus, one of which was a free replacement upgrade from a corsair i had had for about 8 years. Also still have the TLD and i just purchased the Torium a couple months back off of craigslist. Really like the Corvalus for fishing the kelp for bass with flylined baits or throwing plastics. With a good rod very easy to cast even witha small chovie. Not much experience with halibut unfortunately though. Cant say i havent tried
