LJ report for Friday
What a beautiful day out there. Glassy, warm, small surf and fish to be had. No monsters for us but a productive day all the same.
Bait at the southern can was a little slow as it started getting light, then it was all you wanted. We kept about a dozen apiece, mostly candy sized greenies. Aaron lost a greenback that was close to 6 lbs right next to the yak. We wanted to keep it for bug bait (and photographing). It was the biggest one he's seen in 35+ years of Socal ocean fishing. After making bait we went out in front of the condo to start fishing. Started hooking smaller yellows soon after, including this C&R'd one by Aaron: Our day total for the two of us, 6 yellows (1 C&R'd) and 3 bonies caught right before heading in. Fresh bonies, yum-yum!
