Pier fishing in La Jolla....who knew... 8-12-06

Hit the pier just before 5AM... Lots of yaks, but bait was hard to make... found four pieces, threw one on, just in case... Trevor, Brad, and I were waiting for grey light in hopes the bait would chew... Trevor's yak was over my line, I hear zz....zzzz I asked if he was crossing my line, he said no... then my reel TOOK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! I put it in gear, BENDO!!!

41 inch fork, about 25 lbs... Wating for Trevor to bring scale...

Paddled accross the canyon with Brad, didn't really hear of any action, he went around the corner, I stayed inside, as I was debating to go in.... when both of my rods ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!! Bendo...

Got another around 20lbs... Here is the video action when the fish was coloring... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLc9nqIlgSI

Ran into Joe.. he landed a firecracker... Joe shoot me an email for high resolution pics... sdholymackerel@gmail.com

Video of his landing.... Ignore my comments!
