09/23/10: Mola Bonanza - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Fished this am just before sunup to about 10. Bait at the reserve but then very scratchy outside. The mola are extra thick in the cove from the bouy line to the corner. These lazy guys just lounge around and do bellyflops and make la jolla feel like tourmaline! No boats no birds bait or fish all down the line. Nice offshore conditions though with chesthigh barrels at the launch. Very slow today.

Picked this guy up last wed though, while drifting on 120 ft contour...
