8/31 La Jolla......

Over the past year I have introduced my wife, Tracy, to kayak fishing, I started her out in SD Bay, took her out twice and then to La jolla. Haven't been to the bay since....

So I get a wake up call at 6AM from my wife at work yelling at me to get the gear ready and go fishing when she gets home. Got to the launch site late morning to knee high waves, sunny conditions, little wind, and minimal tourists....

I quickly fiill my bait tank, while she manages only 2 spanish macs. We split up as I head out to deeper water and she heads north, I then farm 2 fish to the kelp , full of frustration I radio to pinpoint my wife's location and see how she's doing. As I make the paddle back towards her she then radios "HUN! FISH ON... byeeee!" I get to her just in time, after a 10 minute fight she lands this thing her 1st spanish:

as for me, no yellow off the yak yet....I'm just her personel deckhand....maybe nextime
