Pro Angler Post II 6/21
I took a couple waves to the chest on Friday afternoon as my Pro Angler plowed thru the surf at the Shores. I was glad I had my fish finder stowed as the peddle out was quite choppy with numerous waves taken over the flat bow. Today the surf looks quite a bit bigger than last week. Quite a few fishing yaks and rentals running all around the kelp and Caves but the white water at the Shores looks a bit much for me. Water looks clean outside but it could be the costal eddy boundary with britter sun shine outside making things looks cleaner outside. Water at Boomer is green not the red tinge we have seen for so many weeks now.
I decided to stop by and see my friends at FastLanes after I dropped of my WSB head at Hubbs on Saturday morning. The Hubbs crew is very appreciative of the drop-offs and I have always found folks available on the weekends if you drive around back to the back fence. I picked up a flat plate mounting ball to keep my Lowrence on the right side black railing of the PA as the bow mount makes getting into the front hatch a bit tough and the numerous waves over the bow can't be good for my electronics. The Yellowtail numbers for the overnight boats popped up so hopefully we will see some more schoolies come up this way and the PBers will head in a more southerly directions once again. |
