The Prospect Report 5/14 L J Lays Down
After another week of wind and choppy seas the surf is smaller today than the 4'-6' that Wetsand was forecasting for La Jolla. The wind chop that has been visible each morning this week is gone. A bright orange yak looked to make the happy paddle in at 8:30 this morning. No visual confirmation of a fish just a distant observation.
Red tide is still hanging in the kelp on the inside but the outside looks clear from my Prospect perch. I was slapped around by some 6-8' sets at Boomer yesterday afternoon but the swell seemed to subside around 4pm and I decided I would bring my boat to work today. I am glad I did and things looks good for an afternoon run today. Tight Lines Kurtfish |
