Pamlico 145t Tandem with Rudder $375
I got another boat and am selling the Pamlico. This boat is a tandem sit inside, and the front seat slides back to the middle for paddling solo. In the picture below, the fishing crate is in the back seat. The boat is in pretty good shape. There are quite a few scratches in the bottom from pulling it across the sand, but they appear pretty superficial.
What this boat is good for: Super comfortable, low center of gravity Minivan like storage capacity Flies accross smooth water Perfect for freshwater or calm La Jolla days Very comfortable to hang out in for hours and hours Easy to convert to a tandem for taking out the wife or kid Not so good for: Surf launches when the surf is over knee high. Even at knee high you get a little water in the boat which take a few minutes to pump out. Not suitable for rough weather when out in the winter, wouldn't want to get swamped by a big wave in 58 degree water and have to pump it out. Works good as a tandem if the second person is around 130lbs or lower. I'm 175 lbs and took it out with a buddy that was around 185 and it didn't work very well. Too tippy. Includes the rudder, one lower end paddle and the fishing crate. Would consider selling it without the rudder for $350. If I don't get a response here I'll post up on Craigslist next week. Price: $375 firm You can call me at eight five eight three four four two seven four zero with questions. |
