MB before the MLPA awareness caravan
Sorry for the late report. I hit up Mission Bay before the caravan for the MLPA awareness on Saturday. I launched the yak from Fiesta Island and paddled over to a spot close by the staging area. Quick paddle out and I was fishing a good incoming tide. The fish were biting. The spotties and croakers were on the chew. I fished 1st light till 8:15 and they were biting regularly.
Fun to catch spotties and croakers in the same area. The spotties run deep and hard and the croakers were on the surface and moving fast. Two totally different fights but both were a lot of fun. The only bummer was having to leave them biting to attend the caravan. All for a good cause though. Plus....if the MLPA's go through the bay may be the only place to fish from my yak. Fished the gulps and plastics with UNI BUTTER!!! on 6lb test line. Fish count; 3 Craoker 8 Spotties all C&R __________________ |
