DFG and the MLPA
Taken from spearboard...
I know a lot of guys are getting burned out on MLPA stuff, I know the whole thing sucks and there is too much info to digest, but we are in the last couple months. It is almost over. In a couple months there won't be any public input after the closures are made. The time for public input is now. yet another reason to get involved. time to email your comments in. MLPAComments@resources.ca.gov The comments are due before the next RSG meeting. They need the comments before July 19th so they can compile them and distribute them to all the RSG members to use as public input before they start drawing the next round of maps. Comment on what array you like the best, what map you hate the most. What specific areas do you NEED to stay open? Remember nothing is off the table. There was lots of talks at the open hosue about Lapis 1 being an incmoplete map. I talked to 2 RSG members from the other side. They thought Lapis 1 didn't close enough, but they only had 1 hour to draft a map becuase that's how much time was left when the group split and decided it couldn't agree. They still want to close more of North LJ/Blacks/Torrey Pines. They want more. In the next round they will try and take it. Our reps can use your emails and comments as public input to keep our best spots open. This is afterall supposed to be a public and transparent process. If we don't object we will get run over.
