Great White Shark Follows Kiwi Kayaker

New Zealand Kayak angler ended his day early when visited by a GW Shark.

This clip reminds me of a visit by an 800lb hammerhead that came up out of the depths to check me out. I was in a Hobie Outback, and there was no way I was going to outrun it. It came up on the left side, Turned behind me with a huge dorsal fin sticking out of the water and did a 180 degree turn to swim past me on my right side. She stayed just out of poking range, and as she passed my chair, she tilted her head sideways to look at me eye to eye. What astonished me most was not that she was longer than my kayak, but her girth was bigger around than the kayak at the widest part including me sitting in the chair. Incredible animal that could have easily messed me up -- A very humbling experience.
