Granger/San Gaberial River - In The Pouring Rain 3/1/21
Monday we had rain forcasted all day and by 8:00 am I made the call to run to SGR as I thought the crowd would be minimal.
There were about 8 cars at "the spot" and I had zero luck for the first 45 minutes of the morning. I went back to where I started and found a little area I had overlooked. I tried my trusty 3.5" swim bait for 8-10 cast por nada. Then I threw the ole trusty Rooster-Tail and bam a 13" on the first cast. I put 5 fish on the board real quick then it started to come down hard. Everyone left or went into the trees and I stayed at my spot. For the next 90 minutes I was rewarded with nice fish after fish catching a total of 30 fish and keeping around 18. Fish are much bigger then last week and pulling them up from 12' off the water on the bank put a hurtin on my elbow by days end. Soaked, cold, worn out with a smile on my face I went home to enjoy a Modelo and some fresh fish... Go get em my friends.... h.jpg hhh.jpg |
