Ending of Rockfish season...

What a way to end the local rockfish season...
Mostly small to medium fish on the squid/Squirt combo...but once we switched to strip baits the bite really changed...
Just under 15lbs on the Boga scale...huge belly but it only held eggs...
Biggest local Ling of the year for us...
Looking forward to have some more depth to explore with the new regs but NOT looking forward to only 5 Reds in possession...and it looks like we might be stuck with this new reg for a couple of years...until the DFW does a stock assessment and realizes that the stock is healthy and numerous...!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
