I worked on sportfishing boats for about 5 years and never got a hook in my hand. 5 years of kayak fishing has put two hooks in my hands. Moral: despite the temptation to unhook by hand, always use pliers or some other unhooking device to remove hooks. Especially multiple treble hooks.
