It is always a good day when dolphins are feeding in the bay as you pull into the parking lot.
It was a breezy day but not too bad until about 2 pm, which is about normal for this area. It drizzled off and on a bit in the morning but cleared up around noon. Water was much clearer than last week and the fish were biting. Mostly smaller bass, only two legals out of the whole bunch. I often see small barracuda follow my lures but they rarely bite. Got three today all on my 6-10 lb set up. It was a blast. I even caught a short halibut while drifting towards the beach when the wind got too much to bear. Nice day on the water. Final count: Barracuda 3 Calico 14 Sand 8 Halibut 1 |
