Memorial Day Yellowtail

Monday Memorial Day late afternoon yellowtail, La Jolla. I was supposed to
be headed back to the beach around 3 pm but as the wind died off, I saw
big bird piles a mile+ further out toward the canyon.

Found acres of mackerel, diving pelicans, and terns picking at sardines out
there. Got a handful of rockfish earlier in the day, and released a number of
barracuda on the iron/jigstick. Fun day - glad I went out despite the less
than stellar recent reports.

Area: 4 miles WSW of the LJ Shores launch, about 3 miles from my
WindanSea launch.
