I am asking for information and based on the information gathered by various means will decide what is best for me to do.

Time wise and money wise.

All tips and suggestions are appreciated.

I do wish that I had posted here first for suggestions before making a non-refundable reservations in San Felipe.

Alfonsina's would have been a better place to stay, but reservation system there is not very reliable.
Lack of Spanish fluency was another obstacle.

Oh well.
