NPH 6/17/17 and Happy Father's Day!
Been awhile since I've got to get out. On the water by 645 launched at coast guard station. Outgoing tide sluggish. First cast and landed a short chunky spottie by coast guard buoy. Fairly good action followed. I worked down the main channel north into the harbor for the majority of the fish and trolled back to the long bouy line and fished that back to the station. Off the water by 11. Ticket today were hookup baits. My first time fishing them and I have to say, they worked. I only got short bites on swimmys and cranks.
Final count 7 spotties (2 legal), 3 sandies, 1 short hali. Oh and to the group of birds who decided to repaint my car, I'm coming for you! Word of warning that if you park at the coast guard station under the trees be prepared to wash your car after. Maybe they were just mad me, never happened before but man it was terrible. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there! Didn't get many pics today here's two of the shorts |
