2016 Lobster opener dive report

Lobster dive is one of the most thrilling experience any freediver can experience.
We got there at 2am, unload kayaks and launch into the surf in darkness. Only to find out it is shoulder high surf. My kayak and I were tossed back into shore like a mofo. Damn...collect everything and ready to re-try again. Aim and punch only to be thrown back again.Shit. Now I started to wonder if I ever make it pass the breaker.
With determination and some luck I got out in my 4th attempt.

Our spot only had 2ft viz. This made is tough to grab them.
When you are on breath hold you can have only one shot to make a grab, you miss it you lose it.
Moved to another spot had a better viz that made is a bit easier.
When we were done heading back in, I could see the surf is very big. Surfers are pack on the beach.
I told my dive buddy to put everything inside and prepare to crash
God loves us, we timed a small set and surf our kayaks in like a pro.

End result is priceless.
