Eastern Sierra - Silver Lake /June Loop Area - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Planning to head up to June loop next week 9/15-9/18. Most likely will stay at Silver. Hopefully camp sites will be available. Anyone visited this area lately? How's the fishing and temperature?
Any tips and recommendations will be greatly appreciated. I'm bringing the PA14...a few of us will be there.
