Black and White Party at the Jewel

Its been a great month. I've been working overseas in the desert where there is more sand than ocean...Lucky enough to get a month of solid fishing in. I think I still got it
Work out tip of the month:
Catch a 80-100lb black sea bass, have your rudder seize up, get towed for about 20 minutes, release said black sea bass ( swam away strong), immediately drop another powerbait down, catch a 42lb white sea bass, paddle into shore for about 90 minutes fighting current and swell, land without flipping, get handed a glass of wine by a midwestern tourist group, sit and drink a glass of wine by their bon fire and explain fish species to said tourist. Load up gear and head home. The experience was humbling.
BTW, Chuck D is a beast for being able to paddle in 100lbs of wsb in an outback.

One fish is plenty but gets eaten up pretty quickly by friends and family. The only logical thing is to try to get more: 10lbs more to be exact. 52lbs after bleed and on ice. Both bass were FULL of red crab, kelp crab, and miscellaneous crabs. Team Sewer must have been in the area recently.
