Kids fishing clinic Irvine regional park

Saw this at the park today. Irvine regional park will be stalking the lake with trout for the little ones Saturday November the 14th. Scheduled event time is 7-11am. The event will be free, but entry to the park will be 5$. I was there with the little one and managed a bunch of tiny bluegill on flylined mealworms.

The majority of stocker trout that I've caught has been on green garlic power bait, or any of the powerbait mice tails dipped in garlice scent. Both rigged with small hooks and a split shot casted right off the shore. (This is from my limited Orange County trout fishing experience, but gives you a good place to start)
