There have been numerous short bill spear fish caught locally this year..... numerous!

Bigeye tuna not yet, but it's still early in the year IMO

And yes plenty of small 3 inch flying fish on the kelp line in La Jolla.... mixed in with frigate mackerel for miles and miles and miles
