driftwood Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: SAN DIEGO Posts: 1,086	Scripps pier is Marine Conservation Area (SMCA) So yes, fin bait is ok to take. Except You may not take invertebrates (animals without backbones for bait. No clams, no shrimp, no mussels, no squid, no worms.
