4/12 am LJ
launched at 5:30am. small surf, no wind, clear sky, ideal conditions. Dropped my B/W 6x jr. all over until I got a nice puller for about 3 minutes before it somehow got unbuttoned on me. I was pumped and dissappointed both at the same time. Earlier I had lost my "go to" 6x jr and had to use my low confidence 6x jr that had a single hook instead of the treble hook.My buddies and I saw lots of big fish surface boils but could not get to them quick enough. All of a sudden I saw one just to my left, I sent out the iron and instanltly I was on. Nice puller. 42" at the fork 28 lbs on the certified scale at OEX, Pt Loma. |
