Humpback Whale Ho - LJ 4/6

Very slow bottom fishing, best around 100'. Sportboats were rockfishing
out deep, two miles away, outside and upcurrent.

Breezy morning turned to nice afternoon. Fished bass gear and plastics,
and the one big mack I caught and nosehooked on a B52 got hammered
quickly and burned off 20 yards but I missed the hookset .... duh

Got a nice lingcod, a treefish, and some other asst'd rockfish.

Shot pictures and video of a wildly breaching baby whale, and the mom
breached and fluked a couple times and looked huge. Followed for a
mile, while the baby whale jumped at least 20 times.

Here is the Leaping Humpback video -

Since it was shot with my older digital camera the quality is marginal.
And my whale videoing skills need some practice ...
