Got a New Yum Yum Yellow PA 14
Somehow I managed to snag a new 2015 Mango PA 14 before it went out to a dealer...maybe the snow and ice all over the country had something to do with it ?
The factory in Oceanside is a trip...they really assembly line the PA's, to maximize their effort. Watching them come out of the molds is really something to see too. This new PA got a baptism of rain on the way back. A drill, a few bolts and a couple of 6' pieces of 3" PVC and the trailer is now sporting two Hobie's. Here's a rigging tip from Kevin Nakada at Hobie....The new 17' tandem PA's have a riser that they use to get the steering handle up a little higher. It raises the handle up about 2", which is just enough to keep me from over-reaching and getting a sore shoulder by the days end. It's a simple retrofit...just the riser and a longer stainless screw is all that needed...if you want to get even more lazy, put the small rotating knob at the end of the steering handle...LOL!
