Mako, Mola Mola, and More
Bert and I headed West in the hopes of flat surf, sunny sky's, and all the fun stuff that goes with "fishing". Launched at greylight as the trucks started filling in. The Armada has arrived!
Made some bait, and then some more.....just to have my livewell take a crap for the second time in a row. (all parts to be replaced) Pass off the bait to Bert and head out. We came across a Boccaccio that was getting eaten by a small mako, so we decided to toss a mac or two and see if it would hit. It threw my hook, cut through two of Bert's rigs and bit the tail end of his PA. On to the next spot! Next spot yields a Mola Mola that hung around for a bit .....and then off again. Finally I'm getting bent....and it's not a snag Take my time, and get it to color. Grabbed the mouth and pulled it in. |
