I launched early, at 4ish, to a freak 6ft set.... Only I could have timed it worse!

After a wet start to the day I went to the pier and made micro 3" spanish. Started out to my spots but had to snap a quick picture of this:

after admiring the sunup, I pinned one high and one low and proceeded to chase the birds way, way, way, outside

. (the buoys are way outside in a FND

)

All that effort chasing birds and for what?....

It's a good thing I released this guy

, cause the DFG chick was there to greet me upon landing.

Third pelican in the last 12 months... next year, could we add these nuisances to the WCW eligibility....

I can't catch fish to save my life, but I'd be right up there with Josh, Brad, and D50 if seals and birds counted!

In any case ,it was another beautiful day OTW!
