Reel restoration, overhaul, retrofit
Not meaning to step on anyone foot or anything, I did a search and just seeking what the market has to offer of whom you typically send your tackles to.
Who do you guys on the boards send your reels to have them restore the scuff marks on your bait caster, convention reel, spinning reel, and fly reel? Any of you send it to be customize, laser engrave, painted, powder coat, and anodized? Anybody send them to be retrofit for salt water fishing and corrosion resistance? Has anybody did a mechanical upgrade/retrofit for heavier drag? Faster retrieval? etc. etc... As for as typical maintenance I know several tackle shops and actually manufacture like shimano, daiwa does this. I for one drop off my reels to sav-on tackle or maintenance them myself once I have time. I haven't yet send any reels for restoration or any custom work. |
