WSB growth project.
I have recently joined the WSB growth project volunteers in Redondo Beach Sea Lab location.
I got an email notifying me that the fish will be delivered today, so I went to the site around 1:00 PM. 1-The fish arrived in a trailer and a tank in back of the red pickup. 2-The oxygen tank provides oxygen while the tank is in route. 3-The fish was pumped through the white PVC pipe. There were several “old timers” there to help out, plus a young man who was there for community work. We received 9020 juvenile white sea bass that have been tagged with a very, and I mean small electronic tag. As Mr. Murphy never stops working; the battery on my camera went dead, so no picture of the fishing coming out of the pipe. I will have some more pictures of the fish in the tank, when I go there for my cleaning duties. Here are more photos taken by another volunteer. The fish could be released in December if everything goes well. |
